Google Ads vs Facebook Ads for property agents in Singapore
They find different people at different moments. Here is how to choose, without a sales pitch for either.
The core difference
Google search ads reach people who typed something. Someone searching for a service is already looking, so the intent is high, but the number of searches in a narrow niche is limited and each click costs more.
Facebook and Instagram ads reach people while they scroll. Nobody asked, so you create the interest, but you can reach many more people and test creative and offers quickly.
How they compare for agents
- Intent: Google is stronger when people search for something specific. Meta is stronger at creating interest, for example around a new launch.
- Volume: Google is capped by how many people search. Meta can scale as far as budget and creative allow.
- Cost drivers: Google pricing follows keyword competition. Meta pricing follows audience, creative quality and competition for attention. Published cost figures are vendor claims, so check your own account data.
- Lead quality: Both vary. On either channel, speed of reply and a qualifying conversation matter more than the channel.
- Compliance: Both need accurate claims and the agent details Singapore property advertising calls for.
A sensible way to choose
- Selling a specific new launch to people already searching for it: test search.
- Building awareness, seller conversations or registrations of interest: test Meta.
- Either way, measure cost per appointment, not cost per click.
